During more than 80 years of existence, our Faculty of Chemistry has gained recognition as a top-class national and international research centre, including many articles in prestigious scientific journals and cooperation on innovative research areas. The Faculty also has a Chemistry Test Centre of External Studies (CEQUC in Spanish), which provides services and advice for pharmaceutical and chemical industries. All these buildings occupy an extension of 4 thousand square meters.

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC) is currently at a crucial stage in its history.This poses to both professors and students great challenges and tasks, which are contained in the Development Plan of the University.  

In general, the guiding idea is to strengthen the development of its educational project as a whole, the scientific research of excellence and greater links with the Chilean society.
